"Fearless Eating"
Remember the pleasures of drippy ice-cream cones, finger licking fried chicken, pasta, pizza and potatoes? Then the carbo cops and the skinny bitches rode into town spewing studies and rules and we freaked out. Join Susan and Chef Julia Jaksic of Employees Only for a fabulous five-course tasting. Mindful Awareness, Writing and Meditation. Challenge your food fears. Experience eating EVERYTHING without the freak-out! Contact swb@evolvedeating.com for the next "Fearless Eating" Event.

"In the eight months that I have been working with Susan, I have made more significant strides in my recovery than in the entire four years I have been struggling with anorexia. Although we have been focusing on the food aspect, my progress has been more holistic; it is not just about eating better, but about being better. I do not consider myself fully recovered, but Mindfulness has brought me a better understanding of the things that need to be in place for me to continue in the process. Susan has helped me see things from a different perspective, so that even if I am not yet able to change certain behaviors or actions, I can recognize the impulses behind them for what they are. Instead of feeling negative about myself for having these "bad" parts, I can now distinguish between my true self, and the parts that try to control and abuse this self. Susan does not tell me how to solve my problems, but she gives me the tools to solve them myself, and the support to persevere in this often trying endeavor. The tools can take the form of metaphors, visualizations, practices, or exercises, and they are always presented in a gentle, non-threatening, yet effective manner. I feel so fortunate that I am able to work with Susan, despite being hundreds of miles away, and look forward to continuing our efforts together, perhaps even face to face someday! I would say that anyone hoping to benefit from Susan's teachings should approach as open-mindedly as possible, and embrace the changes that follow."
